to the gentleman (or lady) who smashed my car last night… you suck
while taking time off from the never ending search for my phone i saw that @headgeek666 (harry knowles over at ain’t it cool news) had just posted this… i used to watch the a-team every day as a kid. i’m pretty excited to say the least.
so i’ve kinda disappeared the last week and i just wanted to fill you in on what’s been going on the last week. i’ve spent the last week in portland or at venture2010. this is the greater northwest campus crusade for Christ winter conference. it was a pretty amazing conference. we had some amazing speakers, we had David Butler link, Dr. David Horner link, and local home-town hero Matt Mikalatos link. God used the conference to really push students to “venture out into the deep.” the conference focused on Luke 5 which is the calling of the disciples. i got to help in two capacities, i was helping with the student hangout room “portside” as well as helped out on the productions team. it was truly a blessing to see God work in the lives of students as well as have him show up in my life as well. details of that will be coming in later so stay tuned.
below is a sort of wrap up video of the conference as well as video of the speakers of the conference. enjoy

happy new year from #v2010
Posted: January 1, 2010 in getting the party started, just4fun, new chapter, the beginningsaw this amazing little flick while perusing the net. turns out this little you-tube beauty cost the maker around $300 and it landed the film maker (fede alvarez) a $30,000,000 deal with ghost house pictures (the fellas responsible for the spider-man movies). so the next time someone makes fun of you for posting your work on you-tube you can point to fede and say… what if. what do you think about it?

ok so i’m hanging out at the local coffee shop (who may get a shout-out if i can get me some free java) working on my newsletter and in order to break some things up I’ve been watching youtube videos of some time-lapse stuff. what’s been really cool is alot of the videos online are now being taken with dslr’s. i really believe that hd video on dslr’s is really one of the coolest things to happen in cameras in quite some time. i’ve been saving my pennies (but who am i kidding, what are pennies really worth these days anyway?) in hopes of someday having a dslr of my very own so that i can make videos to post on youtube with trippy techno music.

also wanted to include my buddy matt mccomas’ first venture into video with a dslr.
